Having had the experience of coaching alongside Darren as a young coach this has been hugely beneficial and transformative for me. Hi my name is John Carroll I'm Girls Academy Coach and Boys U16A coach at Piltown AFC. Since the appointment of Darren Murray as Football Director in summer of 2024, I have seen vast improvements in the club and also myself as a coach. Our Vision
The vision of the FAOI is to impact each and every individual that wants assistance in the areas of football development, education and improvement with confidence, excellence, and purpose. For clubs the FAOI vision is to cultivate an appropriate (developmental, inclusion or winning) growth mindset within the club environment (emphasising process over outcome), to create and foster a culture of progression based on setting realistic goals, for the club to grow and move forward.
Our Mission
For players - to help players to reach their full potential on and off the field through age specific quality practice, demanding and innovative coaching, and sufficient ball contact time. For coaches- to empower coaches through comprehensive training programs and research based studies, suing the coaching process as the fundamentals of all coaching practices. For clubs - the assist clubs create structures and processes to develop the club on and off the pitch in becoming the best form it can possibly achieve.

We accept players between the ages of 6 and 18. Basic football skills, fitness level, and passion for the game are considered during selection. A trial session is required before admission.
Trials are usually conducted twice a year – once in January and again in July. Exact dates are announced on our website and social media pages.
Our training programs include:
Technical and tactical football training
Physical fitness and conditioning
Match reading and strategy
Specialized goalkeeping training (if applicable)
Mental strength and teamwork development
Training sessions are conducted 3 to 5 days a week, depending on the age group. We offer both morning and evening batches.
Our coaching staff includes AFC/UEFA licensed coaches with national and international experience. They are highly skilled in player development and modern coaching techniques.
